The Church of the Assumption was founded to serve the Italian immigrants living in the Roselle Park area in 1907 by Fr. Cataldo Alessi. Over one hundred years later the parish still serves immigrants, their descendants and many residents of the Borough of Roselle Park and its environs.
The Church of the Assumption is a Roman Catholic parish of the Archdiocese of Newark. Since opening in 1907, we’ve served the pastoral and sacramental needs of the faithful.
